Ayahuasca: Plant medicine from the Amazon in South America.
Note that I drank it LAST year, very long after I had overcome the worst part of my anxiety. There’s no right or wrong answer to whether you should take it early or late in the game. I want to be honest and express that this helped me, but I also feel a responsibility. I don’t want people who are not ready for this do it just because I did it.
I definitely won’t sit here and recommend ayahuasca. It can be a very intense experience. But it was maybe the most powerful and insightful experience of my lifetime, and I think I should be honest and not hide that away from you. Thick layers of fear have fallen away since then. We’re all on our own journey, and the Ayahuasca experience just happened to be important on MY journey. I felt reborn afterwards. But it was also one of the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever done.
IMPORTANT: If you’re already taking meds, something like Ayahuasca might be dangerous, at least while you’re on them. Do really good research before you consider it.
I’ve become a bit of a spiritual maniac, but if we leave that shit for now, it’s pretty simple how psychedelics work: It makes you very sensitive, so feelings that you carry around comes up to the surface.
But there are not only bad things that’ll come up. There are also heavenly experiences, and these are very inspiring. You’ll meet yourself from many different angles.
I don’t have much experience with mushrooms or LSD, so I can’t say much about it.
Psychedelics are supposed to be used as a tool, not misused as a crutch. You get to see things that need to be taken care of, but then you have to integrate that into your life. There’s no escape or magic bullets.
There’s a giant psychedelics community online, full of brilliant people who are happy to share their knowledge. There are also some documentaries about ayahuasca on Youtube.
Dicksclaimer: I have a dick, and I fully claim it.
