The mind is creating your anxiety. Excessive self-focus is a huge anxiety producer.
Selfless service is one of the best ways to get out of your “anxiety factory” (your head). Volunteer or join a community that works for a cause you care about. It should be something you’re excited about. Get involved with something that excites you that isn’t only serving you.
Instead of getting two cups of coffee for yourself at Starbucks, get the other one for the person behind you. Give protein bars to people. Help tourists in your town who look confused. It’ll make your day just as much as theirs.
